Comfort....

Oh, the comfort of a comfy cottage room! Aged & elegant, I call this room
"the Faded Lady". What I love best about it is that with a few minor changes to your accessories, this room can
be re~worked as a little girl's room, and, as she grows, it can mature with her with a certain ease. I guess that's the mother
in me talking! Well, in any event, this room would be so much fun to bring to life in your home whether big girl or little
girl. A little good news: For those who heard the news that the Antiques Garage in Manhattan was closing (last day 30 Nov 08),
well, here's a "WooHoo" moment...there's been a reprieve! A new lease has been signed keeping them put thru 2009. No small matter
since the garage owner had been offered (so rumour has it) something in the neighborhood of $42 million bucks...
Now, that's my kinda neighborhood! In any event ~ Here are some items Rose Bridge merchants offer that will help you create
this oh~so~comfy chic room. Personally, I think Cathy's (the Victorian Garden Gourmet)Adirondack Twig Chair is a nice alternative to
a large piece like the head~ & footboard to add that rustic, contrasting element to a room that may be a little smaller than the one pictured, or if
a subtler touch is preferred. Meanwhile, I was amazed to find that Sheila (Faded but Desired Treasures) had such a bang on
match to the bedskirt. There's a happy accident, for ya. And Sherry (Revamped Chic) has quite a few lovely little aqua
accents right now. Don't be slow; she had a sweet aqua jewelery box with the prettiest little roses that I originally had
in this spot, but it's gonegonegone. Well, happy shopping, & do come again!
